Where the methodology comes from
QFT is a spin-off of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) . The founding team comes from the Center for Entrepreneurial and Financial Studies (CEFS) , which has built one of the largest academic research programs for private markets analytics over the past two decades.
The research group behind QFT, altqnt.com , continues to publish in top finance journals and maintains close ties with CEFS. This is the commercialization of 20 years of focused research into how private markets work.
What makes it different
Every number on the QFT platform is traceable to a methodology, a dataset, and a set of assumptions. The models are not black boxes. They are built on peer-reviewed research, published in journals such as the Journal of Finance and the Journal of Financial Economics.
The founding team holds four PhDs in quantitative private equity. The methods were developed for institutional allocators, not for marketing presentations.
From research to product
QFT translates academic methods into production software. Bootstrap skill testing, Monte Carlo valuation, replicating portfolio planning: each method is implemented with the same rigor as the original research, but wrapped in a platform built for daily use by investment teams.

Each product methodology is documented individually with full transparency on data, methods, and assumptions.
